Cream Handmade Ceramic Salt Pig

A charming handmade ceramic salt pig by Charlotte Manser in a smooth cream glaze design. 

Each piece is unique and will have different markings within the glaze which are to be embraced.

Ceramics are fired to 1260 degrees and therefore are suitable to be microwaved or washed in a dishwasher. 

Charlotte makes each piece in her rural Berkshire studio. Inspired by her surrounding landscapes, Charlotte creates an immersive connection between the indoors and the outdoors. With sustainability in mind, all products, all products are made using local materials in small batches, with low waste and plastic free processes.

The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in my kiln. Charlotte will then mix glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics are then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.
